Color Critique

Crystal
In Crystal's photos, there is play with sunlight in terms of flowers, grass, and trees. She contrasts the that natural settings with a an unnatural object in some of her paintings. Some of her photos is in an urban setting and uses shots of many different color in the compostions like wigs and umbrellas. The images of the umbrellas in particular has a lot of color, but are not pure hues. The colors are transparent  because of the play of sunlight, and the colors are dull and tinted. Since they are transparent, we know which section of color overlaps the other.

Daniel
In Daniel's photos, the colors are very tinted and worn out.  His images displays the idea of what aging and time does to color. Sun light plays a huge part in all his photos because in all his photos, the colors are brighter than what the color really is. Line take effect in all his photos as well. Whether it is converging or parallel. The is line in brick, wood panels, reflection from the water, and the metal objects in the image. Some images has a focus on one part of the image where there is a single color thats contrasts with the rest of the image.
